About Kimberley Csihas
Kimberley Csihas is a self-taught artist with a pure love of oil paints since childhood. Inspired by her great-grandfather, Imre Von Mosdossy. And renowned artists such as Van Gogh, Monet, Emily Carr and Mother Nature. Being diagnosed Bipolar at 18 and a massive stroke survivor at 32; her artwork has become her therapy, her life. And as she recovers and perseveres her artwork flourishes with practice. Her artwork amalgamates elements of impressionism and expressionism. Embracing vibrant hues, flurrid brushstrokes and, her frenzied emotions. She captures the intense experiences of her bipolar brain by exploring the pallet of life and her vivid dreams. Kimberley finds herself completely immersed and trapped in her oil paintings and encourages you to join her. Kimberley is a member of Peggy’s Cove Area Festival of the Arts and is studio #30 on the Peggy's Cove Studio Tour. Kimberley's studio Birchtree Gallery, is located in Brookside, Nova Scotia.
